A Big Long Catch Up...

On April 11, 2011 we stood before our family and dear friends and publicly declared what we have all known for a long time.  That Lil' Buddy is ours.  Yes, it is finally official - he is legally a Hutfilz.  It was a great day, even though it rained, and our dear friends who drove us to the airport and another friend of ours joined our family to share in this day.  One of the other families also finalizing was the family of the little boy who came home on the same plane as Lil' Buddy.  The first 7 months of our family flew by!

On April 23, 2011 we celebrated our first Easter with Lil' Bud.  We attended the early service at church, then went to breakfast with our friends.  We had 7 children (all 7 and under) and 8 adults.  It was a blast - and one of my favorite Easter traditions.  We also had our family over for Easter Dinner - Here is Lil' Bud with this Grampy B.  They are fast friends - can't you tell?
Checking out one of his Easter Baskets (He had 3, one from us, one from Poppy H and Aunt Sarah, and one from Grammy and Grampy B.) This one was the favorite - mostly because he got to keep and play with the blue bucket.  We DAILY load and unload things from this.  All day. (This is also a pretty typical face for him right now - it is mostly accompanied by a loud "OOoooo".  It is used for look at me, look at this, what is this - a pretty universal sound)

 Our First Easter together...

Here is Lil' Bud and I on my first Mother's Day.  It was a great day!   (Another "Ooooo" - I think our neighbor had his tractor out mowing.  He LOVES the tractor)

Here is a special day for us - Lil' Buddy's Baby Dedication at church.  This was important to us, to publicly declare our desire to raise him to know the Lord, and thank the Lord for him... the significance of this is that it was one day shy of our Referral Anniversary.  Yep, one year ago we first found out about our little man! (We saw his picture the first time the next day.)

And with that, I think we are all caught up!
